Bloomberg: 3 Ways to Fight Budget Cuts to Your Organization.

The President’s fiscal year 2018 budget, dubbed “America First – A Budget Blueprint to Make America Great Again,” was released March 16 and, in the brief time it took folks to analyze it, winners and losers were instantly identified.

National defense, homeland security, some veterans’ programs and opioid drug abuse would get increased funding, while hundreds of other programs would be cut. Nineteen federal agencies would be eliminated altogether, including the National Endowments for the Arts and Humanities, Institute for Museum and Library Services, Legal Services Corporation and Delta Regional Authority. Programs like the Community Development Block Grant program, Peace Corps, international aid and even the once-sacred National Institutes of Health are proposed to be eliminated or face cuts.
